If you've been leveling Archibald, he will learn Sticky Arrow, which will grant him an additional basic attack so you really could him the healer off on his turn if his strength is high enough.Ĭlarus will use an ability called Money Talks that will inflict Fury on any nearby allies. Eventually, the healer will get close enough for someone like Archibald to to defeat in two hits. Instead, focus down your enemy targets with several allies (hang up on them) to quickly finish them off before the healer can get to them. The single Hyzantian Elite Healer will be a huge pain if left alive but it's not smart to position an ally to defeat them quickly as they will become easily surrounded. There are a lot of enemies to fend off all at once, but once you begin whittling them down, Clarus is no longer a threat and you can quickly dispatch of him. Hughette's status afflictions like Blind will prevent the enemy from landing hits, which is also very useful in this battle. Erador and Serenoa needed extra healing since I used them as tanks to prevent the enemy from getting around the barricades. I brought both healers, Geela and Cordelia, since they can safely heal behind the barricades. Julio will be useful here since he can restore an allies TP and I used that to my advantage since I positioned several mages behind the barricades to pelt the enemy with spells which requires a lot of TP. Cast Geela's Haste spell on him too and he will quickly destroy the enemy. Bring Archibald in this fight since his movement is slow but he deals devastating damage the further away he is from an enemy unit. By doing so, they won't be able to attack your mages, healers, or arches, and you can safely rain down on them. Position Erador to sit in front of the barricades and block the enemy from getting past him. Once he does, the battle will become overwhelming. Clarus and the Hyzantian Elite Healer are positioned in the back and they won't begin advancing on your allies in earnest until several turns have passed, but I recommended keeping your units behind the barricades as long as possible and waiting for Clarus to approach. By moving 5 tiles, they will gain boosts to their strength stats, so be careful of this as they move closer to your position. The Hyzantian Cavalryman have a passive agility called Warm Up. Enemies: Clarus, Hyzantian Cavalry x12, Hyzantian Elite Healer x1, + Reinforcements.Any fire spells casted on grass will also be set ablaze and any units sitting on a blazed tile will take damage.
If you've been promoting and upgrading her equipment, she will know the spell Pillars of Fire which will set ablaze a 5-tile horizontal line that can easily take down the barricades if need be. Remember Firestones or Frederica's fire spells will instantly destroy the barricades and set them ablaze.
Thankfully the barricades will keep them away from your mages and healers.
Most of the enemy units in this fight are Hyzantian Cavalry, which will move very quickly. The recommended level for this battle is level 28 and it is not an easy one, so if you find yourself struggling, return to The Encampment and participate in a few mock battles to receive battle experience, coin to purchase recovery items from the shops, and material for upgrading weapons. If you chose to side with Roland on Chapter 17, head over here! Once you're ready, conclude the exploration and head into battle. These are incredibly expensive recovery items (they cost 4000 Coin per) that can now be purchased at The Encampment, but they will fully heal the HP of one ally and recover any status ailments inflicted upon them. On the ground next to Geela is 3500 Coin and Large Ranged HP Recovery Pellet x3. Behind the Wolffort Soldier on the right is Superior Fiber x2 on the ground. The Wolffort Soldiers have installed barricades in the Hynzation Sands and Serenoa prepares for the battle with Clarus. But first, Serenoa can explore a little bit outside of the Encampment before the battle with Clarus.
